Attorney General's Office, Hong Kong 9th June, 1897.

I have examined the accompanying Ordinance entitled: "Ordinance to enable the Government to provide suitable Latrine accommodation for the Public," and I am of opinion that the Ordinance is one which is not contrary to the law.

This Ordinance was prepared at the express wish of the Sanitary Board. For years past that Body has been asked to provide additional Latrine accommodation but latrines are sometimes built or opened as a private ...
